Call of Duty Vanguard wants to follow the steps of Modern Warfare or Black Ops, says his scriptwriter

Call of Duty ou COD (en français l « Appel du devoir ») est une série de jeux vidéo de tir à la première personne sur la guerre. La série a été créée en 2003 par le studio Infinity Ward et éditée par Activision. Les trois premiers opus prennent place lors de la Seconde Guerre mondiale tandis que les épisodes suivants évoluent vers des conflits modernes fictifs, mis à part Call of Duty: World at War et Call of Duty: WWII, sortis respectivement en 2008 et 2017. Le dernier épisode de la saga sorti est Call of Duty: Cold War en 2020.

Avec plus de 300 millions d exemplaires écoulés dans le monde en 2019, tous les épisodes confondus, elle fait partie des séries de jeux vidéo les plus vendues de l histoire. La série a aussi développé une scène e-sport importante sur les versions consoles, dont le point culminant est le Call of Duty Championship.
